The dawn

6 o'clock in the morning. The alarm clock rings, Blockpost-105 fills the Soviet march:

And fight begin again,
And heart is disturbing in a breast,
And Lenin such young,
And young October ahead!

Vit Rakovich and I go out from sleeping bags, we start to look at mountains behind a window - to not oversleep a sunrise. The sky brightens, and here the first beams touch snow caps, touch tops of mountains. We run out from a log hut and are dipped into frosty mountain air. Morning.
